Snoop Dogg has teamed up with Web3 Startup Astro Project to release a NFT-themed video for “Curb Your Enthusiasm”.
Eight months after the release of his 19th studio album, “Bacc on Death Row,” legendary rapper Snoop Dogg is back. Snoop has teamed up with Web3 Startup Astro Project to release an NFT-themed video based on the “Curb Your Enthusiasm” theme song called "Crip Ya Enthusiasm". The collaboration will allow fans to access the music video assets as NFTs.
Web3 Startup Astro Project Designed The Video
Astro project is behind the digital environment where the video takes place. It borrows from the “Curb Your Enthusiasm” theme song, with Snoop’s avatar based on the show's protagonist Larry David. The video opens up with the artist driving behind a police car before crashing into it. He then proceeds to a donut shop with a sign of NFT holders only and meets up with Tupac, a former label mate at Death Row.

And to make things easier for participants, the company has released tutorials that guide donut owners on creating their own scenes and animations using the Unreal Engine, which was used to create the music video.
Astro Project chose to use donut images as access keys since they are the first things a user/artist learns to create when they join the platform. Since the donuts began trading on OpenSea last week, they have had a trading volume of about 0.333 ETH. One can mint a donut for $0.084 ETH, or $111, as of the time of creating this piece, and there are about 288 items minted so far.
The Songs Can Be Minted As NFTs
Also, after Snoop released his album, the artist and Gala Music launched a separate line of NFTs where fans can buy individual songs as digital collectibles. The song’s NFTs are going for 0.8 ETH on OpenSea, which is about $1,118. So far, the NFTs have seen over $1.2 million in trading volume since their launch.
The collaboration with Astro Project is the latest foray into Web3 for Snoop, who has been one of the biggest proponents of digital assets. He is involved with various NFT projects such as Bored Ape Yacht Club and even owns a virtual land on Sandbox.
